01:22 UT – AR12113 produced an M1.2 flare that peaked in GOES X-ray at 00:26 UT

M1.2flare-July82014

Type II radio emission was detected at 00:29 UT. This emission is associated with a solar eruption and typically indicate a coronal mass ejection (CME) associated with a flare event. The event provided an estimated CME speed of 1187 km/s.

Here is a quicklook at radio burst data from the Culgoora Solar Observatory is located 25 km west of the town of Narrabri, in north-west New South Wales.
